Must be love.

10_16_2014_self_harm.jpg__800x600_q85_crop13; “you can’t, you shouldn’t, you won’t”
A sheep in the herd,
part of a system she had no faith in – a system inherited.
endure. endure. endure.
questions muted before it could leave her –
bile trapped in her vessel – trading individuality for convenience.
their words like daggers, snipping at the residues of hope – “to push you to be better”.
But their intentions pure,
Must be love.
.
.
16; throw yourself to the fire, walk out on your own – now repeat.
endure. endure. endure.
wonder child, role model, glory days,
“Don’t stop, never stop”,
“Reach your potential”. don’t stop, never stop – It’s never enough
But their intentions pure,
must be love.
.
.
23; he pulls words out of her mouths,
manipulate the letters to fit his narrative, shoves it back in.
She chokes on the new words that she mumbles,
Unable to distinguish between his words and hers. “This is all because I love you”, he says, with knives glaring through his eyes.
endure. endure. endure.
But his intentions pure,
must be love.

It supposed to be satirical:) its abuse, in my opinion

      1. Cerno says:

True. Abuse based on bondage. In my reading there’s a weight on the tragic element which takes the emphasis from the satire.

Satire is a hard thing to do in Sri Lanka.
